Jen Volmer is a brand and business strategist with nearly two decades of experience helping organizations define what they stand for, identify opportunities for growth, and turn complex ideas into clear, compelling strategies.
Her career has spanned brand strategy, marketing, product, and creative consulting across both established organizations and emerging companies. She has worked with global and mission-driven organizations including Google, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and the Michael J. Fox Foundation, as well as companies navigating new categories and rapidly changing markets.
As Chief Strategy Officer at PHNX Industry and previously Head of Product at Storm360 and Vice President at Bakkt, she has worked not only as an advisor but as an operator—shaping products, defining positioning, building teams, and helping organizations translate strategy into action. Earlier in her career, she worked in brand and creative strategy at WPP's Superunion (now DesignBridge), developing the ability to move between big-picture vision and the practical decisions required to bring it to life.
Across roles, her work has centered on a common question: what could this become? She is particularly drawn to complex challenges where the path forward is not obvious. Those initiatives where understanding the context, identifying the underlying opportunity, and creating a clear framework can open up new possibilities.
Today, she works independently as a consultant through Motivv Consulting, bringing together strategy, creativity, and an operator’s perspective to help organizations and leaders make ideas and objectives real.
Jen has had the privilege of helping shape standout work — from strategy through execution.
